These tasks are designed to get you used to building databases and ensuring you are using the correct data types. Ask your teacher if you need confirmation of data types.
Zoo
A zoo keeps a database with all the animals they have. They hold all sorts of information on the animals.
- Create a database with the following information. Make sure you use the correct data types.
ID Animal type Weight Continent Eating habit Class 001 Giraffe 11Kg African Herbivorous Mammal 002 Rhinoceros 500Kg African Herbivorous Mammal 003 Tiger 150Kg Asian Carnivorous Mammal 004 Meercat 1Kg African Carnivorous Mammal 005 Rainbow lorikeet 0.5Kg Australian Herbivorous Aves - Add in another field called Photo, which has the type OLE Object, as this will allow you to add pictures of each animal. Find a picture for each of the animals in the database and add it to your database.
- The Zoo wishes to store links about each of the animals.

Develop your own Top Trumps database.
- Find a topic you like (for example James Bond characters, or something from a video game)
and start to think about attributes they may have (for example, Intelligence, Agility and Strength). Here is an
example database:

Submission
Save the Microsoft Access file with an appropriate name. Screenshot your database and add it to Google Classroom with your teacher for evaluation.
