Today's lesson

Today's lesson is all about editing the recording.
For those who have not finished recording their podcasts, you'll get an opportunity to do so today.

Audacity

Audacity is the norm for general audio editing and it's a powerful yet free application.
We'll be using Audacity as our main audio editing software.

Cut and paste or delete

Cutting parts of an audio stream allows you to move it to another part of the track. To do this, select the bit you want to move and then press Control + X.
Paste it where you want with Control + V.
You can also delete a section by selecting it and then pressing the Delete key.

Audio tracks

Audio tracks allow you to organise audio.
For example, you may want your main audio track to be the speech in your podcast.
You may then also add an audio track for background music and another for an advert in the podcast.
To do this, click on Tracks and then Add New and Stereo Track.

In order to use the 'Start Remote' feature, you'll need to download JB Slide Controls from the Apple App Store. Once you have this you'll be able to control the slides using the app from you Apple Watch.
