VAT or Value Added Tax is very common across the world and it's often the case you will be given the price of an item such as a computer with it's price already including VAT but not showing what it was before VAT was applied. In the UK VAT is 20% and therefore every computer or whatever that is purchased has this 20% VAT added to it's price.
