Where the Tummel and Tay meet is one of my favourite places in Perthshire. The confluence is found just outside Pitlochry and Logierait, and it's a wonderful place.

This is Loch Earn from St Fillans. This is one of my favourite places in Scotland and we did a lot of camping here when I was young.

This photo was taken at the foot of Ben Lawers.

To me, Schiehallion is the greatest mountain on the planet. On a cloudy day it is ominously peering over Loch Rannoch but on a sunny day it's stunning from Loch Tummel.

Dunkeld House was a hunting lodge for royalty back in the day. Now it is one of my favourite places to stay in the UK.

The Hermitage is located just across the A9 from Dunkeld and Birnam. The River Braan runs through it as shown in this picture.

This photo of the River Braan was taken at Inver, near Dunkeld. This is the point where the water leaves the Hermitage and flows into the Tay.

This is the River Earn at St Fillans. The River Earn is one of my favourite rivers in Scotland because it crosses through so many of my favourite places before joining the Tay.

The Tay is the longest river in Scotland. The source is said to be from Ben Lui and it drains into the North Sea at Dundee.
